Sounds unbelievable, but a Czech
MIG-21, retired in 1995, will most likely end
up serving as a décor in an office of a Chinese
businessman, Zhang Cheng. MIG arrived to US
from Czech Republic, and was diagnosed in excellent
shape. MIG, at one time considered a top fighting
aircraft of USSR’s navy, was auctioned off on
Ebay for $24,730. The only remaining problem
for Mr. Cheng is how to import it into China.
Recently, a retired Russian aircraft carrier
was imported into China and was converted into
a theme park. Mr. Chang is hoping that if authorities
allowed the aircraft to be imported, they will
not have a problem with his attempt to bring
in the MIG.
